03 December

Aloha all you Elder Wilson fans out there. We got you guys a real treat for today. Elder Wilson had a pretty good week this last week and he's gonna tell you about it right now...... Well this week was awesome we had alot of really good lessons and we got two baptism dates for the 15 of December CHHHHEEEEEEEE HUUUUUUUUUUUUU. one of their names are Kahea, she's awesome her and her boyfriend just got married a few weeks ago and he's a returning member. They have a little new born baby and they are ready to be an eternal family. the whole family was less active but they've all been coming to church every week. its cool how something as little as going to church or reading your scriptures or even praying together as a family can make such a huge impact and bring such huge blessings. thats probably one of my favorite parts of being a missionary is seeing families change together. The next one we have is Caroline! she's solid. Her boyfriend is a returning member too. his name is isileli he's tongan. they;re getting married on the 12th and then getting baptized on the 15th. we get to help kill the pigs for the wedding. im pretty excited. Which brings me to the next matter of business. Today for pday we got to help butcher 3 cows. it was an awesome experience. i got to learn where my food is coming from. im kind of in mountain man mode right now learning how to kill all these animals for eat. its pretty cool. i though about sending pictures but then i looked over'em and i don't think i should send'em haha but just know it was awesome. We had six gators come to church this week which was awesome. things are looking good over here on the BIg ISland and im loving every minute of it. Thanks for all you guys do.  Your all #1 in my book. I love all you guys. Stay tuned for next weeks edition of.... Big Blacks Corner! Aloha!!!!!

26 November 2012

Well hello there people. i hope you all had an awesome Thanksgiving and you at alot. There is a couple sayings they say over here when it comes to eating. the first one is "if you shame, you starve." and they my Hela Hela which just means no shame. we had a good time over here though. We had three dinners this year which was two to many. we were stuffed. and we gotta play in the turkey bowell so that was super fun. So this week something cool happened well actually a couple things. the first is that we have this guy named ricky who i never met until wednesday but his wife is the relief society president. so we finally met him and we taught him and we told us he's ready to be baptized. Yeah Buddy! so we teach him lessons and he teaches me hawaiian songs on my ukulele so its a win win for us all! and then on sunday bishop came up to us and was like. i got a referal for you and we were stoked to get a referal and he gave it to us and then he told us he already commited them to get baptized on the 15th of December. it was solid. our bishop is the man. They are getting married on the 11th and then gonna get dunked. Were pretty stoked. Oh yeah one more thing. it snowed up on the mountain a few days ago. i was super stoked. when they get more im gonna go up and make a snow angle. it'll be great. Ok i gotta go. you are all great and i love you all tons. thanks for being awesome. For reals though im greatful for all of you in my life. Love you and Aloha!!!

19 November 2012

ALOHER, Family and friends. Guess what its thanksgiving this week and

drop. If you Shame you Starve so just keep eating haha. you'll feel
really good about yourself. Well this week was kinda slow not a whole
ton happened. we need some more people to teach. But we did however go
and see will. he had a date for the 24th but he hasn't stopped
smoking. im not giving up on him though cause he reminds me so much of
Jeff, i love going over there. so keep will in your prayers. Today we
went to the volcano. we shoulda went early cause we didn't see any
lava. lots of steam though but overall it was pretty cool. Aight i
gotta get. i love all of you and im thankful for all your bright
smiling cute little faces! love you guys. Aloha!!!

Well Aloha Family. Well this week we were crazy busy. it was ridiculous. But guess what. We did have a baptism!!!!!! pretty stoke about that. It was for a little 9 year old girl named Kamomi and she's awesome. SO that was probably the highlight of the week. I ment to send pictures but i left my camera in another elders car,so i'll get it sent off next week for sure. Also this week i had to sing at two baptisms with another elder. it was good though. im getting i played the ukulele and we both sang. haha im getting less and less scared so by the time i get home i should be good. haha lets see, today we went looking for some wild boars. we didn't get one though the one of the dogs had one pinned but it was to big for it so it got aways. next time though. Aight family thats alls i gots time for but you are all great and i love you all. Keep up the good work team. Aloha!!!

15 October 2012

Aloha! this week we saw some real miracles. ok so first off we needed some new people to teach so we decided to go through all our former gators and see if they were ready yet. Holy cow we biked so hard and it was so hot. its been super hot lately. So we had a few positive outcomes from the whole situation. #1 we were able to find two new gators who are awesome, #2 we got 4 new dates for baptism yeah buddy. and #3 i probably lost like 7 pounds haha so yeah im lookin really good right now haha! Today we had Zone conference and we were trained on this new thing called the prayer approach. I don't have enough time to tell you about it but last week the elders in the mission that tried the pray approach as a mission we got 300 plus new investigators. Crazy right. Buts gonna require us to be super bold and super confident so we'll see how this first week goes. im pretty stoked. so NExt week i'll let you all know a little more about how it goes and the success we have. Aight i gotta go. You are all great and i love you all you guys. ALoha!!

08 October, 2012

Whats up Family. hows everything going. So Conference was awesome. There were so many good talks. and there are gonna be so many missionaries going out into the field. its gonna be great. I really like Elder Ballards talk it was really good and straight to the point. But i think my favorite was Elder Uchtdorfs i think it was Saturday morning session. He talked about Regrets that people had as they said before they passed. He said something that really stuck with me and that im gonna remember for the rest of my life he said. "Dont wait to die to know how to truly live." This life is awesome its such a blessing to be on this earth in this time. We need to be happy with whatever life throws at us. life is to short to be unhappy with yourself and with those around you. if your not happy fix that right now. we all have so much to be happy about. Im happy cause i get to be a missionary, and im in hawaii...  haha yeah im in hawaii in case anyone has forgotten. But for reals though the mission and the gosple is awesome its all about happiness and making a better life for ourselves and those around us. The gosple has changed my life for sure. So be happy people. no need be sad! Earlier this week we had transfers and i got some new callings. #1 is that im training a new missionary. His name is Elder Dorny and he's from colorado. we couldn't be more different. but there's a reason that we are together. i just need to figure out what it is. its gonna be a good learning experience for the both of use. #2 is i got called to be the district leader. im a little nervous about this one but hopefully i'll be ok. it'll be good for me. So we did something crazy this week. Elder Dorny sat out on this one so me and Elder Maughan went. So we have this way cool investigator named Rod and he is raising a couple of sheep . one of the sheeps names was ono cabob. Ono means good haha. so it was time for ono cabob to go. and we got to help him kill it and get the meet...... it was crazy. i've never done anything like that but it was a good learning experience. I'll leave out all the details but it was a good learning experience. it was good to see where my food comes from i guess. Next time were doing a pig. Im learning to live off the land out here and its super cool. Well i gots to go. i hope everyone had a good conference weekend i love all of you. Oh thanks for the ties Becky they were all Grade A! i really liked the pink and silver one! ALoha!

01 October 2012

Well its Transfer week and Elder Davis is going home, I'll miss the kid, he's for sure my favorite companion, haha he's getting married in December, Crazy right. Well that means i'll be getting a new companion and guess what, Im training a new missionary again! haha i have mixed feelings about this but don't worry most them them are all good feelings. I heard there is another Elder Wilson coming out here so maybe we'll end up being together we'll see though. i'll send a picture next week. Im super stoked for conference. It makes me kinda miss home though cause its so close to home. I'll be looking in the crowd to see if i see anyone there. But i love watching conference on my mission. it always seems like its directed to me. Well Thats all i have time for this week, sorry its so short next week i'll have more to talk about Guarentee! Love you all and ALoha!!

17 September 2012

Whats up Family. This week was pretty good. We had two of our Gators come to church with us this week which was awesome. So yesterday after dinner one of our appointments fell through so me and my comp decided to go down to keaukahah to see some people. we went this guy Kaleio's to see when you could come work in his yard. we were there for a bit and this his daughter Hoku's friend came over and we al just talked for a while. There was a local kid who killed himself earlier this week which is really sad. he was only 17 years old. But this girl. Her name's Johnny Girl is his best friend so she told us everything that happend. it was really sad but on the other hand i was really grateful for my knowledge of the plan of salvation  and to know what happens after death. When things calm down a bit were gonna teach her a little more about it. anyways where it happend was down at the beach where the built a way sick tree house. She said the feeling there was no good so me and my comp decided we would go down there to say a one prayer. i don't really know why but we just felt like we should. so we did and when where were walking you have to walk on the cement wall to get to the tree house so when we were walking Elder Davis almost fell in the ocean cause it was super Slick and then we heard a small splash and we looked at eachother and we just knew. The phone fell in the ocean. haha it sucked but we got it out. luckily it was way shallow so we just reached in and grabed it. but i thought about all the times i lost my phone in the water and i was like. im glad it was the ocean rather then the hot tub. if it ever happen at home im gonna wish it was the ocean. but yeah This week im super gratefull for the plan of salvation. i wish this girl and her family knew what i knew about it. but thats where we come in. hopefully we'll see some miracles with that. Well thats all for this week. im getting super attractive riding my bike in case you all wanted to know. you are all great i love you all. ALOHA!!!

10 September 2012

Ok so interviews were this week and it was good. Its always good to see President and Sister Dalton, but interviews with Sister Dalton were a little different his time.... kind of weird. so First she asked me how i wanted to be remembered in the misson by the ward members and other Elders. It was weird thinking about it cause i don't wanna start thinking abou coming home yet haha so that was weird and then she talked to me about thinking about School and where i wanna go and she talked to me about Registering.... i don't wanna go back to school yet either haha. Time flies by so fast. it blows my little mind. so yeah thats how interviews went. We had stake conference this week and it was really good. Pres. and Sister Dalton spoke. it was focused all about missionary work. He said something that i was like," holy cow this man is right". He called it the "Mormon Moment". We have Romney running for office and everyone in the world knows it and he just happens to be mormon so  when we talk to people a lot of time there gonna be like, who you voting for or what to you think about Romney or What does he belive you. BAM, let me just tell you what he believes as well as all the rest of us Later Day Saints. Its a perfect teaching oportunitiy yeah. And it doesnt just work for missionaries you kids can do it to. So next time some asks you about Mitt and his/our beliefes, open your mouth cause the lord his giving you the opportunity to share. I just thought i would share that with you guys cause i thought it was pretty cool. Fun fact about Hilo Hawaii. It rains in Hilo more then any other city in the U.S. Hilos great i love it here. you guys are great and i love you all. Aloha!!

04 September

Well family we had a good week. 1 baptized and 1 confrimed. cheee huuuuuuu. it was for a man named Uncle Frank. he's great. he got baptized on his 76th bithday. haha i was worried he's hip or is back was gonna break in the font but it was all good. it was a little cold though. we made him a cake for his birthday and he snarfed that down haha. so it was temple day today and I got to go to the Kona Temple. I have now been to both of the temples in Hawaiii. It is so so so small but no matter the size its always a good experience. i need to email pictures of the baptism and the temple but i left my camera at home so next week, plus there's a time limit on this computer and im outta time. One year down people, it blows my mind. This last year is gonna be amazing for sure. I love all of you thank you for being awesome. Aloha!!!

August Letters

06 August

So this week was a super spiritual awesome week for me this week. For sure something i will remember for the rest of my life. Ok so first there was a less family i started teaching which was about six months ago. so we've been working with them for awhile and that got active and they prepared to go to the temple so they can get sealed. well on Friday they got sealed and me and another elder got to go and share the experience with them. it was amazing to see the sealing and to be there when they got to take out their own endowments. We'll be next mom and dad haha. it was awesome. ANd then on sunday. those boys that got baptized with the group of five they all got the preisthood on sunday and they asked me if i could be the one to do it. It was cool. i was a bit scared but when i stared to give the blessing it was such ann amazing experience. Definetly something im gonna remember for the rest of my life. So we had a good week this week. Ok family i gotta go. We're doing another slp and slide for PDay today. but i love all of you you are great!!!!! Aloha!!!!!!!

13 August

Ok so today was pretty crazy and im really tired and my legs feel like jello haha. So me and two other elders decided to take a trip up to the another hike and do a hike with two of the elders up there. The hike is called. Stairway to Heaven and yes i did walk by booty cheeks pretty much to heaven. Im glad i did it though it was a one time thing. Its pretty sketchy if you aren't careful people die doing it all the time. Dont worry mom im still alive. But we stayed up all night because you have to get to the bottom of the stairs before the guard does. so we got there and started hiking at two in the AM. Yes that is correct 2am so i have been awake for the past 24 hours and then some. but The hike was great, the first part was way hard but after that it got a bit easier but it still was a butt kicker. I put some pictures of the stairs that we climbed it was pretty crazy. When we got to the top we were literally in a cloud and we couldn't see the sunrise which was kinda lame. but we went back down a ways and i got some pretty sick pictures. Hawaii is beautiful i love it. On Saturday were excited for our Four Awesome baptisms. One of them had to be pushed back she needs a little more time which is ok. we want her to be ready. I'll send pictures of that next week. Ok family, im gonna go sleep now but you are all great, i like you a lot.Love you and Aloha!!!! the las picture is of  part of the mountain from far away!

20 August

Everybody im here to tell you that there is a god and he loves me very much.... Im finally going off Island. Its Transfers on Wednesday and im getting shipped over to the Big Island on Hilo side. Im pretty stoked, its gonna be awesome. I will however miss this ward a ton. there are so many amazing people here who i've grown to love so much. They're like family.  This week was a good week though. We had our 4 baptisms and the other set of Elders in our ward had 5 of their own so 9 baptisms all together in one ward, isn't that crazy. The 4 that we baptized their names are Kelvin, Aron, Nora and NoNo. Kelvin and Aron got the Priesthood yesterday too so that was amazing and i got to baptized Kelvin and Aron and the other to had family baptize them. The work is amazing over here. Im so blessed to be able to serve in such an amazing place. Also because i started running every morning again i've started to lose weight so my clothes are getting big which is great. im looking like a younger more attractive version of Denzell Washington... haha. Ok thats alls i got to  report for this week. you all are great and i love you all. Be safe. Aloha!!!!

27 August

Whats up Family. Well I've made it over to the Big Island and its so sick. Its more like the Hawaii that i was expecting. No big buildings over here, not a bunch of cars everywhere, no traffic.... thats my favorite part. Everything here is way more relax. Everyones not hurrying around everywhere. And my ward is Awesome. Im in Keaukaha ward and its great. Everyone here is so nice. They treat you like there own son and everyone loves everyone. its awesome. My new companions name is Elder Davis, from Las Vegas. He's way cool. i really like him and its only been four days and i've learned so much. He finishs his mission in about a month so thats pretty crazy. Its crazy how fast time goes by. Guess what Else??!!! I hit my year mark this week. does that blow your mind. cause it blows mine. Its crazy how fast time goes by this last year is gonna go even faster. It'll be bitter sweet for sure. but everyday here just gives me one more reason to come back and visit.  Theres a bunch of people here who do like the whole like pig and sheep thing and its all delicious. the other day we helped a guy uncover his emu.... which is just pretty much a big pit in the ground that you cook pig in. it was cool and i want one in our backyard. and in a couple of week im gonna get to kill a pig and a sheep. its gonna be pretty knarly but im pretty stoked. like it with a knife to the neck and stuff but  we'll talk more about that when it happens. Ok i gotta go we're going to some caves for pday so it'll be pretty cool. i'll do pictures and send them next week aight.  I love you all stay safe, and play nice with the other kids. Aloha!!!

July Letters

02 July

Aloha Everyone! ok so this week was bittersweet. The bad was my comp elder Fa'amausili got sent home because  he had way bad diabetes and he wasn't taking care of himself. we all tried to help him and what not and president already warned him 3 times but i guess he just didn't care enough. he was a good elder though and i'll miss the kid. Haha so right  now I'm just kinda being passed around between the other elders until transfers in a couple weeks then i'll get a new companion. Earlier this week we went on a zone exchange. Every time we do zone exchange or zone always finds tons of miracles. That day we found i think 12 new gators. and lots of with dates. in my are me and Elder Ence found 6 new with dates! it was amazing. There Baptism dates are set for the 21st of july. So we're pretty excited for that. Keep them in your prayers. Its the 4th of July on Wednesday. i hear its pretty dry so they are being kinda strict about fire works. hopefully you all have fun though. I think we are going to a members house and having BBQ and watching fireworks. there backyard is the beach. ITs always a blast when we go over there. ALso we only work till 5 o clock! It should be fun though! well Thats all i got for you kids today. I hope everyone staying safe and Have a good Independence Day. Oh, Happy Birthday Madeline, miss you tons! OFa Atu and Aloha!!!!

09 July

ALOHA!

Its the last Pday before Transfers. this morning we woke up at 4:15
yes that says 4:15 to go see the sunrise. I was not a fan of the whole
waking up part but the hike and the view and the sunrise and the nap i
took after was great. I love Hawaii it's such a beautiful place.  This
week we had cottage meeting. Thats were we take investigators to the
mission presidents house and they get to hear the testimonies and
conversion stories of recent converts. cottage meeting is always so
good. We had some investigators go as well and our family of five is
still on track for baptism on the 21st. We're so stoked for them. They
are probably some of the most solid people i've taught out here on the
mission. Lessons with people like them and the spirit that is felt
there makes me love the mish. Don't get me wrong i love it regardless
but it's like the little cherry on top! Ok thats all i have to report
for today. We're about to go have a zone BBQ. haha all everyone wants
to do out here is eat. and it is starting to be a problem if you know
what i mean haha pray for the well being of my stomach! Haha ok you
guys are great. Mahalo for all the support you kids give me. I love
all you and miss you tons. Keep up the good work! im not sure what in
but you keep it up. Go get em team. Ofa Atu and ALoha! nick please
tell me if you get this and if you are still alive..... that is all

17 Jul

Well it was transfer week and boy was it crazy. Transfer week is usually so slow but this time we had a pretty good week. I got a new companion and his name is Elder Hayward and he is from Virginia . He's really funny so this should be pretty fun transfer. We are still working with 5 with dates i told you all about in an earlier email. I call them the Jackson 5 because i hate writing down all of there names. But the Jackson 5 will be getting baptized on Saturday the 21st. We're stoked for them. Also we got 3 new gators and we got a referall from one of the youth in the ward. turns out the refferral was someone that i thought was a member cause he comes the church all the time. but you had a super solid lesson. The lesson we had with him was one that made me love being a missionary. He's such an awesome humble kid. He's definetly been prepared! We also got 7 with member lessons. or standard of excellence is 8 with member lessons a week so we almost got it. and as a zone we got 32 new gators. August is gonna be a good month. But yeah so this week was pretty good. I hope you all had an awesome week. Always look for those opportunities to share the gospel. I know there out there. I've seen it they are there. Ok thats all, i gotta go. I love all of you and send you all my Aloha. Ofa Lahi Atu.!!! ps the picture is from last weeks sunrise hike.. it was siiiiiiiiiiiiiicccckkkkk!!!!!! Aloha!!

23 July

Hey Family!!!! This week was crazy ridiculous. We had those 5 Baptisms which was the highlight of the week by far. Its the 3 young boys the little 8 year old and then the man in the wheel chair..... who has on leg. It was such an awesome experience to see the family get baptized. its cool when you get to baptize just one person but when there is a family, holy cow these are the experiences that make me love my mission. Were having another baptism this coming up Saturday for the boy named Kim. He's cool. He always has lots of questions about where his dad is because he passed away about a year ago. But luckily for us we know what happens after death. We're right on Track to hitting Vision 100 over here in the H.H.M. and 24 Baptisms here in our zone for the month of July. We're pretty excited. Well this morning for Pday activity we did another sunrise hike. we hiked to Makapu'u Light house. There is a humpback whale but no whales this morning. maybe next time though. Well thats alls i got time for today, I love you all though. keep doin your thing. Aloha!!!

30 July

Talofa!!!

Well this week was really good. We had another Zone Exchange and you all know what happens during a zone exchange. We see crazy cool miracles. In our area alone we got 4 new gators and 3 with dates. Alright!!!!! Zone Exchanges are always fun. we always have a competition to see who can find the most miracles. The Zone Leaders take the winners to Dinner at Chillies... guess who won. Thats right me and Elder Ludovico! haha Me and my companion won last time too! Time for Chillies round Two. but also this week we had to move our baptism for august 6th. we really want him to be prepared. Also yesterday we went to the jackson 5's house. Those are the people we baptized last week anyways we gave all of them a blessing because school started today and they had a friend there who asked us if he can get baptized so we set a date with him for August 18th! and we gave him a blessing too. It was awesome they are such a fun family, and they make really good donuts and they teach us how to dance. its a good time. Haha we are practicing a hula for a Bithday party on the 10th i don't know how to shake it like all the other locals out here haha. it should be pretty fun. I'll take video and send it. Ok im outta time. I hope your all staying safe. Maholo for everything. Ofa Lahi Atu and Aloha!!!!

June Letters

07 Jun

Aloha everyone, ok so email got kinda got messed up this week so im a few days late. better late then never though right. So we got to go to the temple on tuesday! it was awesome. We're pretty lucky to be able to go the temple every 3 months if you serve on one of the islands with the temple. some missions have to go the whole 2 years without going there. That'd be a real bummer. But its always great to go there to just think and clear my mind. i learn so much every time i go. At church on sunday there were 6 different families from Utah! i guess its summer over there. I didn't know any of them, most of them were from provo. Lets see...... we got some new investigators this week. a mom dad and a son. their daughter got baptized about 2 weeks ago and now they want to take the lessons which is awesome, so keep your fingers crossed! thats really all that happened this week, sorry if its a little short. Happy Birthday Mom and Dad i promise i didn't forget, i hope it was great though. Love the both of you. Ofa Atu and Aloha Everyone!

11 Jun

Hey everyone, Were going to the zoo in about five minutes so i just thought id be real brief. ok lets see so for this week we were able to find 2 new gators. Oh Yeah. were getting closer and closer to our goal of 24 awesome convert baptisms in the month of june. it can be done but only with help from the lord. We'll work really hard with them though. um I'm started to gain some weight but i still weigh less then what i came out at. Don't worry though i was slacking on my exercise  but i've started running stairs in our complex every night so don't Freight. ok Its Zoo time.. I'll make sure to take lots of pictures for next week. Love all of you tons. Aloha

18 Jun

HAPPY FATHERS DAY TO THE AWESOME DADS OUT THERE, YOU ARE THE BEES KNEES, THE CATS PAJAMAS!!!!! Today was a pretty good week. We had to exchanges this week. one i stayed in our area and the other on i went out. And wow did we see miracles. On our Zone exchange we had a total of 12 new gators as a Zone. And my companion found us a new with date and a new gator. There are miracles out there people if there are so many in Hawaii i know there are tons in other places too. Just keep your little eyes peeled and you'll find them. Today we woke up and had the best breakfast i think i've had my whole mission. im a bit sick of cold cereal haha. One of our members took us to breakfast at this place called The Original Pancake House. I feel like Utah should probably get one of those before i get home. BUt yeah i had the fattest most delicious omelet and best pancakes ever.. they compare to my sister Kim's pancakes. anyways i thought you should all know just how delicious my breakfast was and that my stomach we'll be full for the rest of the day. No need lunch and Dinner. Ok my friends and Family i gots to go. Remember who you are, make good choices, and play nice with the other children at the playground. Miss you all tons. Ofa Atu and Aloha!

Ok so today for pday we woke up at 4 in the am. i don't care who you are, waking up early....especially at 4 does not and will not get easier. But we went to this place called spitting cave to see the sun rise. It was pretty cool. the sunrise was beautiful the ocean was beautiful, the cave was spitting, and i saw me some sea turtles and a whale. Crazy right. I love Hawaii!!!!! So we had our baptisms on Saturday. they were so cool. we only had 3 though but the other 2 are scheduled for this week. It was probably the coolest Baptism I've ever seen. The two sons that are members baptized the mom and the little daughter. in the picture its the little girl, the lady in the green dress  and also the kid standing next to me got baptized. It was money. So i think i may or may not have broke my ankle. Haha hopefully its just a bad sprain but i get to go to the doctor and get xrayed. Dont worry mom im ok. but yeah it was such a solid week. i cant wait until sunday. im gonna call home at around 7pm utah time so be there or be square. ok since  i woke up at 4 im gonna take advantage of my pday and take me a nap but love the gospel, love my mission, love Hawaii and love all of you. Ofa Atu and ALOHA!!!!!

14 May

ALoHas everyone. it was awesome talking to the best family in the world yesterday and to my awesome mama! It sounds like everyone is doing great. ok so your not getting a very big email today cause i don't have very much time, but this week was pretty good. we had a wonderful Baptism for this lady name Sheila. She's way cool. She'd been taught by missionaries for a long time in Arkansas but didn''t get baptized there because of family problems. But she moved here and we ran into her one day in the elevator and started teaching her the next day. She's awesome. We have Mission Tour on Wednesday so that should be awesome. I hear that they are great. Elder Larry Wilson from the 70 is coming to speak to us. so im pretty stoked for that. i'll let you know how that goes next week. ok i told i was short on time but i love all of you and miss you tons. keep on keepin on. Ofa Atu and Aloha!!!

21 May

Aloha Family! how was everyones week. good i hope. well this week wasn't really to eventful so i don't have much to say. we did get a new investigator this week. Her name is Elia and turns out she just moved here from Marshelle islands and all her family is members of the church except for her. we went there to teach here and asked her a few questions about the Gospel. Holy Cow that woman knows pretty much everything. So she came to church with us yesterday which was awesome and she used to go every week back in Marshelle Islands. She's ready for baptism. Her date is for june 2. Um thats about it for this week though. Oh wait, so yesterday when  we were at dinner my companion was talking about his family back home ant there pets and out of know where he started talking about his little brothers pet Vampire Bat.......... i was just as confused as all of you. But i guess its kinda normal to have one of those for a pet. I just probably get me when when i get home. No need a cat when you can have a vampire bat right. haha i'll send a picture of his brother and his bat when his mom emails it to him. ok well i think thats alls i got for this week. Keep doin your thang. i miss all you guys! Ofa Atu and Aloha!

ALOHA!!!!!
So this week was an awesome week! So for the month of may our zone had a goal to hit 20 baptisms. We wanted to hit the high water mark. So we worked our butts off. but guess what it payed off. Yesterday we hit 23 awesome convert Baptisms!!!! Yeah Buddy! it was awesome. it was definetly the transfer that i have worked the hardest but it went by so so fast. it was all worth it though. Also we got the highest baptisms in a month that this mission has ever had! President Dalton or mission President took our zone out to Outback to eat last night. Let me just say that the bill was Huge haha! it was such a cool feeling though and to see all of the wonderful converts enter the waters of baptism was awesome. We're gonna have to work twice as hard though so we can hit it again for june. but we can do it.  I hope everyone had an awesome memorial day. We had a good time here. Transfers are tomorrow. Dont worry im not getting transfered. i actually really like it here though. i'll probably be here for one more transfer.  anyways thats about alls i got to say for this week. Hope everyone is doin great. Ofa Atu and ALOHa!

Last 4 Emails

March 27th

aloha my friends and family. ok so the library was closed yesterday so i got a little bit of time to do it today. but im gonna share a quick story. ok so this week me and my companion  went to see a referral we got from the other missionaries. the person we've been trying to see is never home and i didn't wanna go back but i got this feeling that we probably should. so when we got there turns out she wasn't there but we ran into her cousin who was. we asked him if he had sometime for us and he allowed us to come in. when we got in we started the how to begin teaching part of our lesson and then the kid just started crying. i was very shocked and confused and i didn't know what to say. it was silent for awhile and then he told us he was going through some stuff in his life and he wasn't sure god was there. and then i got the feeling to ask him how he'd felt since we'd been teaching  him. he then said that it felt as if jesus christ had walked into the room. i was very very shocked when he said this and me and my companion started to cry. it was probably one of the most spiritual lessons ive ever had. we taught him about the atonement and committed him to baptism. it was awesome! oh his name is Eli by the way. the church is true my friends and got is very real and very aware of each and every one of us. ok well i just wanted to share that with all of you this week. oh guess who's birthday it is on monday! this guys. my first birthday out on the mish. im stoked. ok i gotta go. Ofa Atu and ALOHA!!!!

April 2nd

Aloha everyone. thanks for all the birthday wishes. i loved them. it's my first birthday away from home and i hit the big two zero! Yeah Buddy! well it was conference weekend and it was awesome. not gonna lie, back at home i didn't really pay much attention to conference. but now since i've been out conference was amazing. I liked how the focused on Families. Let me just say that i probably have the coolest family in the world.... just sayin. but yeah i always look forward to hearing the words of our prophet and apostles as well as other leaders in  the church. We have Two Baptisms coming up this week so im real excited for that. and we're having a wedding too! this is the second wedding/baptism i've had since i've been out and they are pretty cool. its starting to get hot here, summers creepin around the corner and ready to slap me in the face haha, but its felt like summer ever since i got here. and i cant complain about beautiful weather. Shout about to my boy tyson who got his mission call to Tempe Arizona this week. He's gonna love it over there. oh and happy birthday marcus and saba. hope you have a good one. Marcus your getting old haha! ok well i gots to go do some birthday stuff but i love all you guys and hope you have an awesome week. Ofa Atu and Aloha

April 9th

Hey Everyone. So today was a pretty good week. First off it was Easter, I had a awesome birthday dinner with some members out here, we got 2 new investigators. 21 of April is when they are getting baptized and then we are having two weddings and three baptisms on Saturday. Its gonna be a crazy busy week. But it'll be good. We went on another cool hike today call Mariners Ridge. The view was amazing and we could see one of the other islands at the top of the hike. I hope everyone had an awesome Easter and you all thought about the atoning sacrifice that or savior did for each and every one of us. Im so grateful for the atonement in my life. and the more i study and learn about it, the more i understand the love and feel the love that he has for me. as well as all of you. Its awesome. ok sorry to cut this so short but i gotta let another missionary email. Love you all tons. Ofa Atu. Oh Anniversary Kim and Boris and Alex and Lani! Aloha!!!!!

April 23rd

hey everyone hows it going. we had transfers and i got a new companion. he's way cool his name is Elder Fa'amausili and he's from Western Samoa. Don't worry he speaks really good english so thats good. he's cool though we get along very well. We had a pretty good week this week. were were able to find a new investigator and we have 4 people with dates. two will be baptized this saturday. Yay them! but we did have kind of a bummer this week too. ok so we were supposed to have a baptism on saturday and the Marshelles Elders taught him all the lessons. we just taught a few lessons about faith and pray. so he was gonna be baptized in our ward because he has lots of family there. so while we were waiting for the baptism to start he went outside for a bit. i went out to find him and guess what..... Home boy way smoking a cigarette. I was so shocked when i say this. and i didn't know what to do. Obviously i didn't want to baptize him because he wasn't ready and then there were other people there who were like," some people need to be baptized before they understand that they need to change." so yeah this was confusing my little black mind so i was trying to get ahold of the mission president so i could ask him what to do. he didn't answer. so we said a little pray and we decided that we better move his date back a couple weeks. thats ok though. he'll be ready. his wife didn't even know he was smoking. turns out his understanding of the word of wisdom is you stop after you're baptized. but he said he wasn't gonna smoke again. so we'll keep working and praying for  him. his name is john btw. but overall we had a pretty good week. it's been kinda rainy the last couple days but nothing too bad. ok i gotta go but i hope everything is well with everyone at home. i love hearing from you guys and thanks so much for everything you do! Oh yeah shout out to my boy drew he got is call to Boston!!!! yeah buddy. Boris and Kim you're getting a solid Elder. that kid will baptize nations. ok Ofa Atu and ALOHA!!!!!

March 5

What it do!!!!!! hows everyone doing. good i hope. well its been a couple of weeks since ive sent out one of these... my bad, but nothing to crazy has happened out here. guess what? Transfers are coming up in three days and im finally getting transfered. I'll have been in this area for 6 months and its definetly going to be bitter sweet. i've grown to love every one that i've worked with and i'll miss them all a ton. but i got another calling for this next transfer. im going to be training a new missionary again. not gonna lie i wasn't to happy at first but then i realized that im doing it for a reason. so imma step to and train this new elder. its gonna be a great experience. I hit six months at the begining of this month. crazy right. time has flown by. one you hit 6 months a lot of the missionaries burn a tie, and thats just what i did. i burned and old tie. i'll have to put some pictures up of it. but im outta time cause i gotta write mom! i love all of you and i hope everything is going great. the church is true guys. go do some missionary work. that is all. i love you and ALOHA!!!!

March 13

ALOHA. ok so i gotta make this really brief. i don't have much time to write this cause we went to the temple today. temple days are awesome but everthing gets cut short. ok so im in my new area over here in Honolulu. and im with the new missonary im training. his name is Elder Tenney. he's a little ball of fire and has so much energy. but i love the kid to death. im even more in the city now and i got put into the highest baptizing ward in the misson.  we have 7 with dates and a wedding coming up so thats awesome. the ward im in now is where all the tourists come so i've already met a few people here from utah. the youth in this ward is awesome. thats where the most referals and baptisms come from in this ward. they are amazing.like i said i had to make this one brief but keep my investigators in your prayers. i love all of you im loving my mission and there is no place else i would rather be....  plus im in hawaii haha so cant complain about that. ok i gotta go love you all and ALOHA!!!

March 19

ALOHA! Today was a pretty good week overall. i just got done doing probably the hardest hike of my like. its call KOKO Head and its pretty much just straight up a mountain but the view up top was sick and i took some good pictures so i'll have to send those. i even saw a few whales. We had a baptism this last Saturday. It was solid. His name is Hillon he's super solid. He come from one of the youth in the ward. Man the youth in the ward here are awesome. they are so active and so excited about missionary work. they always bring their non-member friends with them to youth night. most of our referals and  baptisms come from the youth here. We got 2 new investigator too this week! we committed them to baptism for april 7 alls they have to do is get married first so we're having a wedding and a baptism on the same day. Its gonna be awesome. Well i dont think i have really much else to say but i love all you guys and i miss you all tons. i hope everything is going well. Shout out to my boy Jax who's going into the MTC on wednesday.... in London might i add. Thats pretty cool yeah. Ok well i gotta go but love you guys and ALOHA!!!!

ALOHA ERRBODY! ANOTHER AWESOME WEEK HERE IN THE ALOHA ISLANDS. NOTHING REAL EXCITING HAPPENED THIS WEEK THOUGH. WE ARE HOW EVER ARE MEETING WITH THIS PART MEMBER FAMILY. THEY ARE LIKE THE BRADY BUNCH.THE MOM AND HER THREE KIDS ARE MEMBERS OF THE CHURCH BUT THE DAD AND HIS THREE KIDS ARENT. SO WE'RE WORKING WITH THEM. BEFORE THEY WERENT OPEN TO HAVING THE MISSONARIES OVER, BUT NOW HE HAS A CALLING IN THE WARD AND HE IS THE CUB SCOUT MASTER. HE COMES TO CHURCH EVERY WEEK AND HE SAID THAT HE KNOWS THAT THE CHURCH IS TRUE. THE ONLY PROBLEM IS HIS KIDS. THE MOTHER FROM THE FIRST MARRIAGE IS NOT A FAN OF OUR CHURCH SO SHE DOESN'T LET THEM COME ON SUNDAYS....BOOOOOOOO! ANYWAYS NOW THEY WANT US TO COMEOVER WEEKLY AND GIVE THE KIDS THE MISSIONARY DISCUSIONS AND THEY ARE AN AWESOME FAMILY. ITS ALWAYS SO MUCH FUN GOING OVER THERE. ITS JUST A MATTER OF TIME AND HOPEFULLY THE MOM WILL SOFTEN HER HEART AND LET HER KIDS START COMING TO CHURCH SO THEY CAN GET BAPTIZED. SO KEEP BROTHER LETISI IN YOUR PRAYERS THIS WEEK!! WELL THATS ABOUT ALL I HAVE TIME TO REPORT THIS WEEK. I HOPE EVERYONE IS DOING AWESOME AND HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!!! LOVE YOU ALL AND ALOHA!!!!

February 6, 2012

Hey hey hey!

hows everyone doing good i hope. guess what? its starting to get rainy over here in paradise. but its still warm so thats ok too. lets see... i dont have a whole ton to report because nothing to exciting has happend. We got a new investigator. an 18 year old girl named Mariz from the Philipines. she's definetly been prepared to hear the gosple. Were excited for her. she was a member referal. Just a little word of advice to all of you. Member Referals are usally the most solid Referals a missionary can get. so wherever you are think about those friends or family members that can use the gosple in their lives and invite them and the elders over to your house for dinner. there are people waiting to hear the gosple and alls we gots to do is invite them. so this week be thinking about who you know that you can invite to hear the gosple. i know it may be scary at first. believe me ive been there. but its such a good feeling and its definetly worth it. but i think thats all i have to report on today. i'll be sure to do something crazy this week so i have a nice juicy email next week. i hope everything is going well with everyone and i love and miss you all tons. ALOHA!!!

Well hello there everyone. So its been about two weeks since ive been able to email which is no good. im sure i had some of you worried! Mom its ok im fine no need to call the mission office. There's not really a whole ton that can happen to me in hawaii. especially because im not allowed to go to the beach :( anyways everything is going great over here. Its starting to rain again. it hasn't rained in forever so im definetly a fan! Its still mega hot though so you don't have to worry about that. Well lets see whats happened in the last couple weeks. Well we got to go to the temple and it was great. The temple over here is beautiful and i love it when we get to go there....even though its only every three months. but were lucky because some missions they may only get to go  only once. Um..... we had a baptism on saturday for a 19 year old boy named Felix Levu. He's a super solid kid and the baptism was awesome. he had lots of family there. congrats to my awesome sister kim who had her little baby boy Cutler. He's way cute too..... just sayin! Transfers just happened a couple of days ago but because im training im still in the same area as when i started. so i'll be here for one more and then more then likely i'll be transfered. Hopefully it'll be off island... i really wanna go to big island or maui but we'll see what happens! Well i think thats all i have to report for these past two weeks. I hope everything is going well with everyone back at home. I love and miss all of you tons!!!! ALOHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
