Aloha Everybody!!!!!!

first off i want all of you to know that yesterday for dinner we had salmon.... this is the first day that we have had sea food since ive been out on the mish. you'll be happy to know that i thought it was delicious. sea food out here does not taste like sea food on the mainland. it doesnt have that nasty fishy taste. but i was pretty proud of myself for eating it Yay me hahaha. but anyways i don't have a whole ton of time so i'll let you all know a little bit that has happened this week. so first off it was kind of a slow week which was lame, actually it was slow for work but the week just zipped by. i cant belive im almost two months in the mission. but anyways. we had two investigators drop us which was super lame. but to balance that out we are teaching two people who i have some high hopes for. the first one his name is Stanely. Stanley  is a 50 year old guy. my companion doesnt like teaching him because he thinks he is stupid. that made me kind of upset and i let him know how i felt. i told him that even though he isnt very smart he is still one of gods childern and deserves the same chance to hear the gospel just like anyone else. my companion still didn't really care so now when i teach him i have to go on an exchange with another missonary. but i have to teach stanley very slow. its hard for him to understand things but in the last three times that we have taught him he's been progressing so thats good. another person we are teaching is duke. duke is the father of 2 and his wife doesnt really seem interested in the gospel. but yesterday we got an unexpected phone call from him and he told us that he read the first couple chapters of the book of mormon and prayed about it. he knows its true!!!! so that made me super excited. we are going to teach him tomorrow so i'll let you know how that goes. but thats pretty much all thats happend this week. sorry i don't have time to write more but i'll do the best i can in later letters. i love all of you keep writting me and sending letters. Mahalo!!!!

ALOHA!!!!!!!!

guys can you believe it. ive almost been out here on the islands for about a month. everything here is great. more and more it kinda reminds me of being at home in salt lake because of all the tall buildings and all the busy cars. so hopefully after this area i get transfered to somewhere that as a little bit more of a hawaii feel haha. but this week hasn't been too eventful. one of our investigators dropped us because the house she lives at the owner wont allow us to come over and visit with her. we tried to see if we could visit with her at a park our at the chapel but she just wouldn't do it which was super lame. hopefully she can realize how important the gospel is in our lives and how we really need it. But we have a couple other investigators we are visiting and they have so much potential but its hard to meet with them because they are always so busy. we gave them all reminders saturday about church but no one showed up BOO  on that. but we did have a recent convert who got baptized about two months ago come to church and she brought her kids her husband and some extended family so that was really good. but other than that nothing too exciting has happened. oh i got to go to pearl harbor on wednesday and that was way cool. we did some service over there and then we got a tour. it was awesome. but thats all i have for all of you today sorry this one isn't as long but i love all of you and i hope everyone is doing ok!!!!!

Aloha Everyone!!!!!

(This letter was sent home on October 4th, but I just got it tonight.  Sorry it's late getting posted.)

i hit my one month mark a couple of days ago so YAY ME!!!! but anyways everything is going really good out here. its nice and hot and im getting lots of excercise since we walk every where. so we are still continuing and doing all that we can to teach. we have a big pool of investigators but the only problem is  that it is hard to catch them at home for a follow up appointment so thats kind of a bummer but we will do all that we can to meet with them. there's a guy here that lives across the street from our pad (apartment) and he's really cool. he's not a member though. he got ex communicated from the church and when he told us about it all he said was that he did some crazy stupid stuff. but he reminds me alot of jeff so i love going over there to talk to him. his name is robert and he's way funny. him and jeff have that same loving friendly personality which i love. so yeah it makes it nice and kinda comforting when we go over. we go over and we read the Book of Mormon with him and his wife who isn't a member either but they say they love it when we come over and read with them.....you can't complain about that. every time we talk to him though he's smoking a cigarette or drinking his beer. but thats totally fine he's a way cool guy and we can't complain about going over every sunday to share a short message. haha last night i told him i worked at a ski shop and he got all excitied because his son designs t shirts and has a t shirt company out here. so he asked me if i could take some home with me when i leave and i told him that i would and show them to ski n see. so he went and grabbed the shirts. lets just say they are not missionary approved at all haha. there were a couple of shirts that were bad but the rest im gonna have to find some way to get rid of them. but yeah thats just one of the guys that i've met out here. oh i met Aunt Karyn(tyson's mom) i met her mom and dad. they go to the same ward building as i do so i get to see them every sunday. also the resturant in bountiful called Mo Betta's. there is a guy that just moved out of the ward that im serving at who owns that. so if you ever decide to go there tell him you know a missionary serving in the Lanakila ward back in Hawaii!!! i forget his name though so just tell everyone there haha. we got to go to the temple this week because of conference. it was so pretty. especially the drive over there. its right by the beach and it is beautiful. there were lots of cool mountains too. it was the Hawaii that you imagine in movies. and we also got to watch conference. it showed temple square and the conference center and the temple and it made me kinda miss back home. salt lake and bountiful are the Bee's Knee's the Cats Pajamas. i love it there. but here is nice too. but yeah id say overall this week has gone pretty well. but im outta time but mom since i know your reading this can you send me that book with everyones birthdays in. that'd be nice. but i love you mom and dad and everyone else reading this letter. HAPPY BIRTHDAY SARA! I HOPE IT WAS AWESOME!!!! oh and dane, whit, and jax, someone send me mama and papa kellers email address i wanna email them too!!!!! I love all you guys! ALOHA!!!!!
