Aloha Everyone!!!!!

(This letter was sent home on October 4th, but I just got it tonight.  Sorry it's late getting posted.)

i hit my one month mark a couple of days ago so YAY ME!!!! but anyways everything is going really good out here. its nice and hot and im getting lots of excercise since we walk every where. so we are still continuing and doing all that we can to teach. we have a big pool of investigators but the only problem is  that it is hard to catch them at home for a follow up appointment so thats kind of a bummer but we will do all that we can to meet with them. there's a guy here that lives across the street from our pad (apartment) and he's really cool. he's not a member though. he got ex communicated from the church and when he told us about it all he said was that he did some crazy stupid stuff. but he reminds me alot of jeff so i love going over there to talk to him. his name is robert and he's way funny. him and jeff have that same loving friendly personality which i love. so yeah it makes it nice and kinda comforting when we go over. we go over and we read the Book of Mormon with him and his wife who isn't a member either but they say they love it when we come over and read with them.....you can't complain about that. every time we talk to him though he's smoking a cigarette or drinking his beer. but thats totally fine he's a way cool guy and we can't complain about going over every sunday to share a short message. haha last night i told him i worked at a ski shop and he got all excitied because his son designs t shirts and has a t shirt company out here. so he asked me if i could take some home with me when i leave and i told him that i would and show them to ski n see. so he went and grabbed the shirts. lets just say they are not missionary approved at all haha. there were a couple of shirts that were bad but the rest im gonna have to find some way to get rid of them. but yeah thats just one of the guys that i've met out here. oh i met Aunt Karyn(tyson's mom) i met her mom and dad. they go to the same ward building as i do so i get to see them every sunday. also the resturant in bountiful called Mo Betta's. there is a guy that just moved out of the ward that im serving at who owns that. so if you ever decide to go there tell him you know a missionary serving in the Lanakila ward back in Hawaii!!! i forget his name though so just tell everyone there haha. we got to go to the temple this week because of conference. it was so pretty. especially the drive over there. its right by the beach and it is beautiful. there were lots of cool mountains too. it was the Hawaii that you imagine in movies. and we also got to watch conference. it showed temple square and the conference center and the temple and it made me kinda miss back home. salt lake and bountiful are the Bee's Knee's the Cats Pajamas. i love it there. but here is nice too. but yeah id say overall this week has gone pretty well. but im outta time but mom since i know your reading this can you send me that book with everyones birthdays in. that'd be nice. but i love you mom and dad and everyone else reading this letter. HAPPY BIRTHDAY SARA! I HOPE IT WAS AWESOME!!!! oh and dane, whit, and jax, someone send me mama and papa kellers email address i wanna email them too!!!!! I love all you guys! ALOHA!!!!!

  1. Chancy,is that kid by any chance Jodie Mack? His dad was Lee Mack and he was bishop of Lanakila ward. His mom is Wilma and she helps out at Mo Betta. She taught those kids how to make great Hawaiian food. Plate lunch...ONO! Knew those kids when they were little boys.
Did I tell you that Lanakila ward was our ward when Tyson's dad joined the church. I close my eyes and can imagine you there. What a coincidence. Love you a lot. The mission field in Lebanon is a long way from home. I hope you have stayed up on the Tyson boy. I am excited for him to share in this great work. Know that we love you,and thanks Margo for keeping us in the loop.
    Love from Lebanon,
    Aunt Karyn and Elder Anderson!
